Hyvia and Hype want to push hydrogen mobility

Extreme H, the world’s first hydrogen off-road racing championship, has introduced its driving machine - the Pioneer 25. It will put the hydrogen racing car through its paces at Extreme E’s Hydro X Prix in Scotland this month.

Cellcentric, the fuel cell joint venture by Daimler Truck and the Volvo Group, has announced the start of a pilot production at the Esslingen-Pliensauvorstadt site in Germany. Large-scale production will kick off by the end of the decade.

German public transport operator OVAG Oberbergische Verkehrsgesellschaft will be putting 15 hydrogen buses into operation next year. The vehicles will come from Solaris. A tender for the refuelling solution is planned.

The Toyota Hilux hydrogen FCEV is now undergoing testing in real-world situations. Along with this development, Toyota has announced the hydrogen-powered pickup truck's specifications.

The European Commission has approved funding for another hydrogen-related Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI). IPCEI Hy2Move will financially support 13 "innovative" hydrogen projects from seven countries.

Together with its software partner Plus, Hyundai has presented an Xcient Fuel Cell equipped with technology for Level 4 automated driving, which is now undergoing tests in the USA.
